Last month my mom and I went on a little getaway to Travaasa, which is outside of Austin, for a few days, and we had such a great time. Sometimes you need to take a break from life and just recharge your batteries. Am I right or am I right?
I had heard great things about Travaasa, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Our days were filled with yoga, pilates, and relaxation at the spa (oh and eating and drinking…obviously).
If possible, I’d live at a spa. Is that possible? No probably not. But think about how amazing that would be.
Mom’s lunch one of the days, which was a fish wrap of sorts. And those kale chips were EVERYTHING. Everything.
I had this sandwich each of the days we were there for lunch. It was an edamame falafel sandwich with those to die for kale chips. SO good. Mouth is watering as I type this. Is it lunch time yet?
They grow their own herbs and spices and such, which I thought was cool. I’ve toyed with the idea of growing basil in my house, but let’s be real, I’m not actually going to do that. The thought is nice, though.
The Spa gift shop had some cool little giftables. I got cozy socks because cozy socks are pretty much my favorite thing ever and I also got this cool exfoliator loofah, which I can’t find a link to – my apologies!
This view (which you probably saw on my Instagram) for morning yoga was heaven on earth.
I’ve never met a cheese platter I didn’t like. And this one was divine.
We drank lots of wine because why wouldn’t you drink lots of wine.
And we had s’mores by the fireplace! So warm and cozy.
Overall, it was a perfect few days away with my mom, and I highly recommend this place. Before you ask, no, this post is not sponsored by Travaasa, BUT if anyone from Travaasa is reading this… hint hint.
Happy Thursday, friends! Almost the weekend…almost the weekend.
This place looks amazing! Sounds like the perfect spot, healthy food, a nice view, and yoga: right up my alley! I really want to check it out 🙂
