This past Friday I had signed up for a 5:30pm spin class. I was with Candace and Megan prior, and they were like ‘Seriously?! 5:30 on a Friday afternoon? Daaaaaamn gurl.’ They didn’t say those exact words, but something along those lines. And as I thought about it, I was like, crap, I am so not in the mood to workout. I had been working and running around all day, and my couch looked SO good at that moment. However, it was already past the 6 hour mark, so I would have been charged if I canceled, SO I went. And I’m SO damn glad I did. It was such a good class, and I was so pumped up afterwards. That’s how it always is, though. You’ll NEVER regret a work out. Am I right or am I right? I know, I’m right!
When it comes to working out and the gym, there are a few essentials I swear by. I’m not one to wear makeup to the gym (nothing against those who do, BUT I sweat profusely, #TMI, so it would not be smart to workout with makeup on for me!), and I’m pretty much a no fuss gal with workout attire and goodies. I like to keep it simple.
I’ve been living in my Revolution workout top lately (don’t worry, I wash in between wears guys, obv) and I have too many of these Nike sports bras to count. Although, I’m in the market for some new sports bras. Bigger chested gals, any recommendations?
These are my new favorite workout pants (sadly, they aren’t available anymore, but here and here are other fun pairs). They hold you in tight in all the right places, and how fun is the print? That’s my yoga towel that goes on top of my yoga mat, as to avoid slipping on the mat while sweating. If I’m walking or working out on the elliptical, I’ll either be listening to some good tunes (such as Jessie J’s ‘Domino’), listening to podcasts (likely The Lively Show), or watching YouTube (probably Ellen, as seen below). And then, probably the most important part, the deodorant. NOBODY wants to be (or to be near) the stinky person at the gym. This antiperspirant seen above and below is my new favorite. I’m so thrilled to be partnering with Dove because I’m not only a fan of their Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant, but I’ve been using their body wash for as long as I can remember. This antiperspirant is the latest beauty trend, so I’m excited to show it to all of you. And how sleek is the bottle? I’m a sucker for packaging! And it goes on and dries instantly, which makes me SO happy, because I know I’m not alone when I say it’s so annoying to have to wait for your deodorant to dry before putting on clothing.
