Last week I took a cooking class at Rice Epicurean Cooking School, and it was such a fun (and delicious) couple of hours. We made a 4-course meal with the instruction of a few chefs. Throughout the night, we had a few different wine tastings, which, of course, was a highlight of the evening. In terms of food, we started with a French Onion Soup, then onto Coq Au Vin, Rosemary Potatoes, and the finale was Crepes Suzette. You likely won’t ever find me in my kitchen making a 4-course meal like this one, but I am so excited to make each of these dishes (at separate times) at home in the near future. The soup was warm and hearty, the chicken was tender, with just the right amount of sauce, the potatoes included my favorite herbs and spices, and the crepes…well, you can never go wrong with crepes. If you’re looking for a fun night out with friends or significant others, a cooking class is absolutely the way to go.
