a work in progress

I love seeing the before, during, and after of something. Whether it be a house being built from scratch or one being remodeled, a face being done up for an event, a classroom going from nothing on the walls to fully decorated and ready for students, a painting going from a white canvas to something extraordinary, and anything else going from its ‘blank’ state to something truly incredible. My boyfriend is a home builder, and I love to see the whole process. I think it’s fascinating how what is now almost completely finished started as a pile of dirt. Yesterday he took me to see the home that’s just about done and it was so neat to see all the fixtures in, details complete, and it being right around the corner from someone being able to move in and make it their own.
