Last week, I took the afternoon off and took a little drive with a couple friends up to Market Street. As I’ve mentioned, I’m one of the Market Street Blog Ambassadors, and I’m having so much fun exploring this charming little part of The Woodlands and finding new shops and restaurants, and it’s only 30 minutes away from Houston.
We did a little shopping and a little eating before heading back, and my highlight of the afternoon was definitely lunch at the Tommy Bahama restaurant (Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Cafe, to be exact). Before you think Uh, Tommy Bahama’s for lunch? Huh? you should know I had the exact same thoughts. But let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS.
We started with chips and dip, and see that cheesy looking dip on the left? Yeah, I essentially ate the whole thing and then could have licked the bowl and ordered some more.
I got a cobb salad with the most yummy dressing. I also basically licked this plate.
We were too stuffed to get dessert, but had I ordered something it would have been this little chocolate cake situation above.
I even got my car detailed at the Pristine Auto Spa in the garage. I’ve never gotten my car detailed; I typically just do those $5 little drive thru’s. But wowza is my car squeaky clean now!
Overall, it was such a fun afternoon off, and I think every now and then it’s important to play hooky (don’t tell your boss I said to though).
