I have a love-hate relationship with our apartment. For the most part I do love it, but what is really starting to get to me is the lack of space. Compared to my NYC apartment, it would be considered massive, but in reality, it’s far from. I have my desk nook which I am a huge fan of and practically live in, but I’ve decided that not only do I need an actual office, but it needs to double as a craft room, as well. Our kitchen table has been fully taken over by the FPTP greeting card line (more on that very soon), and I have what looks like a mini Michael’s Store literally surrounding the living room. Let’s just say the boyfriend is not thrilled with said situation. Our lease is up in April, and one of my requirements for wherever we move is to have this office/craft room I dream of on a daily basis. Some craft room inspiration below.
I was just telling LJF this morning, when we move back to America I want a real office and real closet! Gotta have dreams!

When I get bored or stressed, I organize. Sadly, my room at home doesn’t leave much room for organizing, but I still try! I love pinning closets, shelves, etc. in hopes of my dream home being that organized!

I would love for my craft supplies to be as organized as that!! I’m moving in a couple of weeks and am definitely claiming one of the extra bedrooms as a craft room/glitter haven.

I’m actually one of the .005% of people in NYC who have a full-sized closet…and thank god! However that certainly does NOT mean I’m organized (like, at ALL). A good cleaning sweep has been on my to-do list for months..I keep putting it off!
I know what you mean, my apt is pretty spacious but I lust after the idea of having an office! Love these ways to organize.

I really need to get organized. My current apartment actually has the space to make a craft room, but I have to get through so much garbage before that can happen. It’s such a slow process. I’d really prefer to just go somewhere new, get rid of the old stuff, and just start fresh!

Oh I feel the same! There is something.. limiting.. about apartment living. It goes further than size. Just the simple restriction of not being able to change little things (like the hardware) makes it seem like a continual reminder that I live here now, but it isn’t a permanent home.

Ah I feel the exact same way about our place Julie! I feel like the walls are closing in on us and we simply don’t have enough storage for our stuff! The sad part is we really don’t have that much but our place still seems to small. I’m in love with your inspirational photos, but #9 is definitely my favorite; I love all the white, the pretty wall paper and of course the chandelier!
