flowers in bloom

Florals are a print I don’t wear too much of because I tend to prefer an ‘edgier’ look. However, as you previously read here, there are ways to turn up the heat when wearing a floral number. I think a floral print is beautiful and feminine. The other day I was in the mood for an extra ‘girly’ look (sans ‘edge’). I paired my floral print skirt with a brown tank, cream cardigan, and some simple accessories. I picture this type of outfit perfect for a Sunday evening outdoor dinner party.

AND…

I’m excited to announce that from prosecco to plaid is doing its first giveaway! As you’ve seen in many of my posts, Brooklyn Stars is one of my favorite jewelry lines. In my exclusive interview with the designer here, you can read about the story behind them. If you win, you will be able to choose ANY piece from the site. So, start looking because there are so many amazing choices.

It’s extremely simple to enter (and make sure to do so by Thursday, June 21) –

1. LIKE from prosecco to plaid and Brooklyn Stars on Facebook

2. Follow from prosecco to plaid on Twitter (if you don’t have Twitter, you can skip this step)

3. Leave a comment on this post telling us which Brooklyn Stars piece is your favorite (it doesn’t have to be the one you end up choosing if you win).

If you already LIKE us on Facebook or follow on Twitter, consider yourself already entered and halfway there. Just make sure to leave a comment within this post to confirm your entry.

Completely agree with the people above, Julie! Such a cute blog. Looking forward to seeing what’s ahead of you 🙂 I also am a big fan of the Brooklyn Stars jewelry. I have been lucky to see many of the items on the website first-hand…and they look even more adorable in person! Having to choose a favorite doesn’t help my already indecisive personality, as there is wayyyy too many pieces to love. That being said, I think I’m going to have to say my top choice at the moment is:

How can you pick 1 Brooklyn Star piece?! Gosh!! I can narrow it down to two: love on the rocks v2 // necklace with raw cut rainbow moonstone chips, geometric square brass tubes and dainty gold and black & gold chain. And, she’s electric // bracelet / necklace with mini geometric gold beads on background of silver seed beads!!! Wish me luck!!
