home sweet home

Even though I do consider my home Houston now, the apartment in New York still feels like a home to me. After you spend an ample amount of time somewhere, I think it takes quite a while for it to not feel like ‘home’ anymore. While all my things are no longer in the apartment aside from some toiletries, all the furniture is still exactly the same, delivery menus are still in place, and it smells like it did when I moved out over 7 months ago. I had the best few days in the city catching up with all my friends over delicious breakfasts, lunches, cocktails, and dinners. Late last night we got to Connecticut, and now I’m looking forward to relaxing the rest of the week, doing very little work, and spending quality time with my family.

That is a great scarf!!! And I totally agree – I’ve been living in Minnesota for 8 years now, and only recently has it started feeling like home 😉

  6. Wow!! Such a cute apartment!!! I lived in San Diego for five years and as much as I loved it, I never really considered it home. Whenever I would visit Dallas, I would feel at home and is the reason I ended up moving back 🙂 Have a great week!
