It's all in a Name

About 8 years ago, my parents got me my ‘Julie’ necklace. It’s a short, silver, thin chain necklace with my name on it. They gave it to me at my high school graduation, and I literally didn’t take it off for roughly 7 years…EVER (within this past year I haven’t worn it as much, only because I switch off between that and another short necklace I love, given to me by my boyfriend). Whether I was showering, sleeping, or even on the beach it was around my neck (I would sometimes get a ‘Julie’ tan, you know, kind of like a ‘farmers tan’ but from my necklace). I think everyone needs a name (or initial) necklace. Whether it’s something you wear everyday or something you wear only on occasion, it’s a timeless piece of jewelry that should always hold a special spot in your collection.

I love initial necklace, but I’ve actually never had one that said my full name. I’m kind of in love with that one that says “Elizabeth”…so pretty!

  8. What a lovely grad present! I wore a dainty amethyst necklace that my husband bought me for our first Christmas until recently when I started to mix it up and wear different pieces. I still wear it on occasion but it sits on my bedside table as a constant reminder of his love.

I agree, I love name necklaces. They form a part of your identity I feel. I feel naked without mine. I also love necklaces where you can put a picture of you and your loved one 🙂
