No matter if I go away for two weeks, a week, or two days, it’s always nice to come home afterwards. As much as I love going on vacation or getting out of town, there really is nothing like getting in your own bed at night and being in the comfort of your home. Now that I’ve officially been a Texan (again) for four months, I have to say I really do feel settled in and like this is my home base now. I miss my friends in the Northeast more than one could imagine, but I would have to say the adjustment period is over and I’m loving life down South.

Love getting glimpses into your home–it looks lovely! I agree, there’s really nothing like coming back to your apartment (or house) after a trip. I always feel that way about my parents house, but recently my apartment has started to feel like “home” as well. It can take a bit, but you’re right, it does happen!
