As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized more and more how important it is to have quality friends. It’s not about the number of friends you have, it’s about the type of friends you have and the depth of the friendship. With all my moves, I’ve met A LOT of people over the years. And over time, some friendships have faded, sadly. It’s not because of a falling out or anything bad, it simply just happens organically. It can be disappointing, but it is what it is. When you have certain friendships that never fade, you should feel very lucky and fortunate. One of my friendships that’s never faded would be with one of my very dearest friends Alex. She and I have been friends for over 20 years, and I feel so lucky to be able to call her a best friend. And this weekend she’s getting married. I am giddy with excitement, and can’t wait to celebrate her happily ever after. She deserves it more than anything, and I am so pumped that the weekend is finally here! Whatever you’re up to this long, holiday weekend, I hope you have a great one! Surround yourself with only the best of people always, and enjoy my favorite links from around the web this past week. See you back here Tuesday!

If you’re super into yoga like me, but far from a true ‘yogi’ – you might find this article interesting on the benefits of 8 different types of yoga mats. Personally, I didn’t realize there were so many different types. I just use my trusty cheap one I got at Home Goods; maybe I should step up my game.
One of my best girls, Candace, wrote such a beautiful, honest post on her blog all about who she is now. So good and so inspiring.
