With this being my last installment of ‘The Wedding Series,’ I thought I’d share a few final thoughts on the whole entire process, along with links to all of my uber fabulous vendors’ websites, and my wedding video trailer. Whether you’re a past bride, current bride, future bride, or have no intention of ever being a bride….I hope you’ve enjoyed this series, because I’ve loved sharing it with all of you.
Throughout the year of our engagement, many times I was asked ‘Why do you seem so calm? You’re so relaxed about this whole wedding planning thing.’ The truth is, I really was very relaxed. Sometimes I got worried because I thought I was being too relaxed. However, if I could give one piece of advice to brides out there, it would be to keep yourself as calm as possible. It’s easier said than done, but it sure makes the process a hell of a lot easier (and more fun) the more laid back you are about things. Of course I had opinions and I didn’t just sit back and let my mom and my wedding planner take the wheel, but I didn’t allow myself to get flustered. In my mind, there was no point.
Things may go wrong, you may not get your way every single time a decision is being made, but in the end you have to remind yourself what this is all about. This is about you and your significant other getting married. This is about you being in love and celebrating. It’s supposed to be a happy time. Don’t take it too seriously. You want to look back and smile at the process.
The weekend truly was the best weekend of my life. There is not one thing I would have changed or done differently. I had the greatest time I could have ever dreamt of, and I made sure to take every moment in. Sure I can’t believe it’s over, but throughout the weekend it seemed to have gone at a perfect pace. I had to remind myself to do so, but I really did savor every single solitary second.
Of course, none of this would have happened if it wasn’t for my ROCKSTAR vendors. In no particular order…
Sara Renee Events, Luv Rox Photography, Always Flowers, Powerhouse, AA Musicians, Kristin Brown Beauty, Lisa Marie Owens Hair Salon, Turnberry Isle, Senderey Video Productions, Dominique’s Couture Cakes, Berings, Lavandula Design, Joan Pillow Bridal Salon…THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. BEST WEDDING TEAM EVER.
