This + That

Is it just me or has life been moving at 100 mph?! Makes sense considering fall officially begins tomorrow and everything seems to just speed up this time of year. Whatever the case may be, I’m PUMPED for fall. Granted, you don’t feel or see it as much down here in Houston, but some of my favorite memories from living up north would have to be the changing of the seasons, the leaves falling to the ground, the colors of the trees, the crispness in the air, cozying up by the fireplace, and all the other fun things that come with the season. What do you most look forward to in the fall? Apple picking? Halloween? Pumpkin flavored everything? Thanksgiving? Tell me, tell me!

And, in the meantime, here are some good links I couldn’t help but share with you guys, and also some events around town that you might be interested in! Happy Tuesday, friends.

Even if you’re not a fitness instructor (I’m not!), what Hallie has learned since becoming one was so interesting to read, and I think can apply to most of us.

I’m sure you’ve seen this just about everywhere this week, but OMG how EFFING CUTE is this child?!?!?! I want to eat her up and be her best friend.

My mom used to always make a salad that included crispy Ramen noodles, but I haven’t had it in forever (Hey Mom, want to make me some?!), so when I saw Alyssa’s post on signature salad recipes and saw The Damn Salad includes Ramen noodles, I got very excited. YUM.

I’ve been really intrigued by the notion of Non-Attachment lately, ever since my friend Rachel introduced it to me. I found this article on it very interesting and it explains it well.

A fellow blogger friend, Carrie Colbert (aka the most stylish gal in Houston…have you seen her Instagram feed?! #swoon), is the Chair of this year’s Dress for Dinner Series, which benefits Recipe for Success. I urge you to check out the events coming up and get yourself tickets! Wednesday night is the first one (at Sloan/Hall with Lucy Sykes!), and you can read more about it here.

My dear friend Candace is co-hosting a major event at Macy’s Woodlands this weekend, and if I was going to be in town, I’d be there! You should go. It’ll be a blast!

I can’t believe my first ever published book is going to be coming out so soon. Pinching myself every. single. day. Save the date for Tuesday, November 10th from 6-8pm for my release party! More details to come soon.
