Exciting News

I know I know, it’s been a tad quiet in these parts lately. However, I have a good reason for it!

I’m not going to go into a whole song and dance about how I have all these ever so fabulous projects coming up and I am too busy for life (because, well, I’m not). The truth is, yes, there are some cool things in the works, but the most exciting, and the one I can’t hold out on any longer is….wait for it…

I’M WRITING A BOOK.

Beyond a few members of my family (and now YOU), no one really knows. I’ve mentioned it here and there if I happen to be out with a friend and it comes up, BUT the point is, I’m writing a freaking book.

It has been a lifelong dream of mine to be a published author. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve always loved writing. You should have seen the newsletters I made for my family back in the day. Oh man, they were funny. Hey mom! Do you still have those in boxes? 

Anyway, I’ve been keeping it hush hush, not for any reason in particular, but I didn’t want to say much until it was actually happening. But, ladies and gents, it’s happening.

Lately, it’s been a whole lot of staring at a computer screen, editing, editing, and more editing. I’ve gone cross eyed, it’s official.

I don’t want to say too much on what the book will be about (you have to wait and then buy it to see!!), but my manuscript (holy hell, I have a manuscript, like what?) is going to the publishers to do their thing within the next week or so; just making some final edits. And soon enough (2 or so months), you’ll be able to purchase a physical book (or an eBook if thats more your thing) written by ME.

With all that being said, I want to say a massive thank you. Thank you guys for all the support. It means more than you know. And not to get all sappy here, but don’t ever give up on your dreams. No dream is too big. If you want something, go for it. Do it. There’s nothing stopping you. Nothing at all. Love you to pieces!!! xo Julie

This goes along perfectly with today’s post because one of my besties, Megan (I’ve mentioned her like 87 times on this blog, you have to know who she is by now!), is already a published author (her book 99 Problems But a Baby Ain’t One is honestly incredible – it’s a fun and entertaining memoir despite traditionally somber topics such as cancer and adoption…it’s real, it’s funny, it’s great), but she recently came out with an eBook on how to write and publish a book, available on Amazon. It’s like she knew what I was up to and wrote it for me! I kid I kid. However, if you’ve ever wanted to dabble in writing a book, go buy Megan’s eBook. It’s legit.
