Lately I’ve been getting a lot of comments on my skin. This is not to gloat or brag, by any means, as I do believe my skin is FAR from perfect (you should see it when it’s THAT time of the month AND I have bit of a wrinkle situation happening on my forehead #needbotox), but I wanted to share what I’ve been doing in case you’re in the market for some new skincare products. While I do believe part of the reason my skin has been looking so clear is because my foundation is the cat’s pajamas (NARS Sheer Glow), I also think it has a lot to do with my skincare routine. I try to take very good care of my skin, and no matter how tired I am, I always take my makeup off and use my products. Below you’ll find what I’m currently using on my face, and I’d love to hear if you have any great skincare recommendations, too!
MORNING
- I don’t wash my face with a cleanser in the morning. I use the Simple Micellar Water flowed by the Simple Soothing Facial Toner. I follow that up with Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate, and about 3 times per week I’ll then use the Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate. Then it’s time for the Kiehl’s Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream and then CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM with SPF 30.
NIGHT
- I am typically a nighttime shower person, and in the shower I’ll wash my face with the Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Foaming Face Cleanser. Afterwards I’ll use the Simple Soothing Facial Toner followed by the Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate. About 3 times per week I’ll then use the CeraVe Skin Renewing Cream Serum. Every night I use the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and I let that set in for a few minutes while I floss/brush my teeth. Then I use the Kiehl’s Powerful Winkle Reducing Eye Cream, and I top it all off with the CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream. Depending on the blemish situation going on, I’ll sometimes use some of my prescribed pimple cream, too, but it’s very drying, so I try not to use it often.
Notes: About once a week I’ll use my Clarisonic to wash my face/exfoliate. Otherwise, I’ll use various face masks once or twice a month, and I end up getting facials a couple times per year, although I know it’s important to do that more often. And, of course, I’ve used other products, and some not mentioned above I do love, but this is my current regimen.
