This past weekend, as you likely saw on my Instagram, I was in Maryland visiting my brother, my sister in law, and my scrumptious nephew who I can’t get enough of. It was the best weekend, and I wanted to enjoy every moment so I didn’t want to spend too much time working, which is why 1) this blog post is being published later than normal and 2) it’s not a typical post, as it’s going to be mostly pictures from the weekend and a little recap.
It was a very low key couple of days, which was absolutely perfect. We got to go with Joanna (my sister in law) to pick up Blake (my nephew) from school on Friday, which was SO cute. We then went to lunch and just hung around at the house. Saturday we had bagels (rainbow bagels and batman cookies for Blake!) then went to a park and errands. Then while Blake napped, I napped (because why not?!), and Saturday night the adults went ‘out on the town.’ Sunday we went for a delicious brunch at Summer House Santa Monica (SO good), and then we played outside and had a BBQ at home, and went to sleep. We woke up at the ass crack of dawn (excuse my language) for an early flight this morning, and here I am…back in Houston.
I didn’t want the weekend to end. Nothing is better than being with family. And while it utterly sucks that I don’t live near all my family, the times we do spend together are truly the very best. Hope you all had a great weekend and enjoy some photos from my time in MD!
